Finding inspiration in Romanian folklore, naive art, magic and love, Mădălina Andronic illustrates stories seen and unseen for those who have the eyes to enjoy. Mădălina graduated from the National Art University of Bucharest, has a master’s degree from the University of Arts London, works as a freelancer for clients from all over the world and has 8 illustrated books published in Romania, UK and USA.
The illustrated book, “Girls` Spells” is a collection of old habits and youthful stories told by Mădălina`s Grandma, from a time when attempting to eat salty cakes and sleep with basil under the pillow were done as small rituals in order to know more about love. It was done with naivety, but they could bring you power and meaning at the right times.
